As a result I have had to revise my views and especially the representation of the political context of my findings. I have learnt that the line between na\u00efvet\u00e9 and scepticism in ethnographic research is not easy to draw. The experience ought also to give journal editors pause for thought.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish version of the paper was written taking these lessons into account (Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Pol\u00edticas y Sociales, 223, 2015)<\/p>\n<p>A un a\u00f1o de la publicaci\u00f3n de mi art\u00edculo sobre las Universidades Interculturales en ingl\u00e9s (en la revista <em>Journal of Latin American Studies<\/em>, 45, 779-811, 2013) tuve la oportunidad de leer una tesis doctoral de CIESAS sobre el tema, y durante un viaje a M\u00e9xico a reanudar con personas a quienes hab\u00eda entrevistado. El resultado me ha llevado a revisar mi interpretaci\u00f3n sobre todo del contexto pol\u00edtico. He tenido que aprender que en la investigaci\u00f3n etnogr\u00e1fica no es f\u00e1cil trazar una l\u00ednea clara entre la ingenuidad y el escepticismo.
